In order to advance the knowledge field of solar ultraviolet radiation and human health, and to provide empirical evidence and support systems for prevention of the associated diseases, a research roadmap was developed.
The roadmap was prepared using input given by participants of a symposium and roundtable discussion held on the 29 and 30 May 2012 in Pretoria and funded by the National Research Foundation.
